Here is the list of guards 32 and older who tore their ACL and made an all star game at some point in their career. Doc Rivers Dec 1993, at age 32, would return to play 141 games averaging 15.8 minutes of the bench over the next two seasons Chauncy Billups Feb 2012, at age 36, returned to play 41 games over the next two seasons Baron Davis in 2012 playoffs at 32, never played in NBA again, retired List completed…

That’s a fair point. I just don’t think Kyrie, AD, Dejounte, Ja are a pitch I would swing at. I’d rather get a better idea of what Jaden is as a second option, is Naz a starter, what can Ant do with a team that fits. To keep the baseball metaphor the time it takes to do that probably puts me down 0-2 in the count, but there will always be another upset star at the deadline. You’re point though is completely valid, why waste another half season or whole season

It’s kind of insane how small the sample size is, like some of it is most players don’t play until they are 32. But also from combing through data most players also tear their ACLs at age 24… all around it’s weird! But I do agree, way to small of a sample size, more wanted to show how unprecedented this case is
The Herschel Walker comp could be spot on, if Giannis is entering a different area of his career it could blow up and set the team for a decade. Randle if he is moved I think there are some solid role player shooter and backup point guards that you could probably get for him, same with Rudy. Like is there away to add a Duncan Robinson from detorit, Strus from Cleveland, Monk from Sac?
I’m in the more boring, and less fun, get a couple solid pieces. Randle for Schroeder and Strus Randle for Christie and Gafford Randle for Jones and Smith Get a little younger, see if you can add a pick and just get guys that either play with a ton of effort or are in that 24-28 age range.
