@GuillemBalague @ruben_selles He's a good guy but it took him a long time to adapt away from the frankly bizarre 4-2-2-2 which should never be used anywhere, ever again. Hope he does well, he deserves a decent go at a well run club, not like ours was.

@insanemansays @johnmcfadian @jakebackpack A group of 4 friends in a round, each pay once = 4 payments. A group of 4 friends each paying at the end = 4 payments. The difference is that in the second case, you have to get the server's attention up to 8 times instead of 4.

@insanemansays @jakebackpack Typically in the UK we'll be out with other people, and the etiquette is that everyone buys a round in turn. Each person pays once. If I'm paying for everything at my table then a tab makes sense. We don't have a culture of sitting at bars alone and settling up at the end.
