@MerryAlbright @TWBFarms Profit on anything that has 'added value' or 'branded" from insurance, fertiliser, banks, energy, haulage, packaging, ag chem, medicines, vets, accountants, seed breeders, advisors, processors, purchasers, salesmen, you name it, profit disappearing at every single junction!

@TWBFarms Finally, someone screaming about the supply chain to farms (albeit a tiny part of) all of which are making huge profits at the expense of the farmer. Protesting at this end needs to be louder than the supermarket end!

@JulieBygraves Suppliers to the ag industry are never to blame though are they? If let’s say you made paper for a living and your profits were squeezed, do you put pressure on your wood pulp supplier or protest outside WH Smith’s for the price they’re selling it for?

@robboroberts @EllieChowns We could as farmers store more water and reduce P applications by unlocking the biological component of soils. Providing the ‘public’ with benefits which should be ultimately be rewarded on a farm scale, that’s my hope/wish!

@JamesMelville Royalties are payable for 25 years, considering the lack of development over those 25 years in terms of the yield plateaux, you can use those seeds and see no detrimental effect on yield.
