I was in the @taostats room when Claims won the live crowdfunding event, judged by the audience as well as @const_reborn, @mogmachine, @mikecontango, and @macrozack. The atmosphere was electric, and there was no doubt about who would win that session at the Louvre, just as there was no doubt about the Claims team’s palpable enthusiasm. More details on this amazing project are coming below, which suggests we have another great team joining Bittensor! If you want to crowdfund this subnet before it goes live, you still have a bit less than 48 hours. And I do believe this one is gonna break the most funded subnet record! -- Claims is a Bittensor subnet building a canonical claim-evidence graph to solve the replication and data-structuring crisis in science. Large language models heavily hallucinate when processing scientific literature (e.g., Claude Opus at 62% and GPT-5.2 at 59% on biomedical benchmarks). Claims eliminates this by transforming unstructured scientific text into machine-readable, verified data. The Core Technology: It leverages SciWeave, an AI assistant tool built by the team that achieved a 0% hallucination rate on the ScholarQABench benchmark. The Mechanics: Bittensor miners compete to extract structured data from research papers, which are then graded by validators using rigorous, tamper-resistant mathematical reward functions. Monetization & Market: Claims targets the $20–50B R&D intelligence market and the hyper-growing $5–9B market for high-quality scientific AI training data. The Team The project is driven by DeSci Labs and stands out for its elite combination of world-class academic research and deep-tech software engineering: Dr. Philipp Koellinger (CEO): A Professor of Economics who previously led a 300+ scientist genetics consortium that successfully standardized behavioral genetics data replication.
