@Star_Knight12 I did while working on a db table migration in raw php; In the DO, fetch the next 101 records from a table based on some filter, and process,in the WHILE check if i am seeing a fewer records than 100, once that condition is not met, break out of it. This was a background script

@SumitM_X Instead of counting a huge table row, do the exra work of adding another table to keep stats, on new order increase a specific flag, when order is processed decrement the original flag, and possibly increment another flag. That way, a single query fetches statistics for you

@grayontop_ If you db records are small, you will be fine, but when its in the thousands or millions, that is when begin to feel the wrath of a poorly designed db with out indexes of critical query columns

@thoniahilary Take a walk if the frustration level is 15%, abandon the work for a few days and come back to it later, if the frustration level is more than 60%. When you get back to it, you come with a fresh perspective, your mind work on it like a side hustle, while you do other things.

@sesigl But you db password column only allows for 10 or 15 characters, you get an out of range data error. Again you need also have a policy about allowed characters in a password, i think in general, all UUID characters should be allowed, that is [ a-zA-Z0-9+]

@sesigl You only checked if the length of the submitted password is greater than zero, but it appears you don't have a password policy that should be enforced. Like how many characters should a password have, need to have a hard max otherwise someone could submit a 4,000 characters pwd

@sesigl Spawn a new gorutine per request, but make sure you have a control plane that keeps track of actively running routines and can terminate all of them on request via context cancellation. You will only need semaphore when each request takes a very long time to complete

@SakshiSugandhi While learning C, wrote a recursion based Fibonacci function to compute for when n = 50, launched the main in terminal, waited for result to be printed on the terminal, system hanged, CPU fan was spinning like hell, had to REBOOT the system. Root Cause Analysis -> Infinite Loop
