@thsottiaux running codex on a dev box via ssh has connectivity issues. can't set automations on remote codex. port forwarding breaks from time to time and codex is not aware it's on remote.

SITUATION UPDATE: The executive order on AI, expected today, was postponed after a call from David Sacks, Chair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, to the President this morning, Politico reports. The executive order was expected to include a 'voluntary framework' under which leading labs would share advanced models like Anthropic's Mythos with the government 90 days ahead of public release. Politico is reporting that Sacks had been read in on the EO earlier, but that he shared concerns with the president this morning that this framework would slow innovation and make it harder for the US to compete with China.

Startups used to be the province of outsiders, unemployable misfits, and desperadoes looking for their next score. Gradually via increasing amounts of VC, PG essays, and enormous exits, it becomes the destination for the normie strivers who normally would have opted for whatever the post-Ivy prestige track was at the time. And when the cycle crashes it goes back to being a misfit and outsider thing. You can almost time the top to when the pretty people show up on Valencia Street.

I'm puzzled by the new gemini flash model. Imo, flash models should be cheap, fast, and low reasoning. Ideal for low-level tasks like data extraction. Instead, we got 3x more expensive and super smart flash model. Overkill and overspend for low-level tasks. ┐(￣ヮ￣)┌
