I was on the other side of that moment. I still remember being dropped off—watching the car pull away and realizing that was it. You don’t get a phone call. You just stand there and process what just happened. I actually just walked out of a very similar place—Cumberland FPC—after serving a year on a three-year sentence for a similar case. Morgantown and Cumberland feel almost interchangeable when you’re inside. While I was in, I wrote weekly about prison life, the drama, and how I tried to use the time to better myself.
