Tennessee just reported its first day with more than 2,000 COVID-19 infections since February, per CDC. Also, predictably, hospitalizations from the virus are now rising, doubling over the last 17 days. Please take this seriously. Get your boosters. The virus is not done with us.

@Robert70801773 @anitawadhwani Latest sampling for Chattanooga shows effective concentration (89,832) is low compared to periods when cases were on the rise. For example, effective virus concentration on Nov. 15 was 315,741 and 1,620,085 on Dec. 13.

Now there are 3 reports for vaccine effectiveness vs Omicron hospitalization, @UKHSA, @KPSCalResearch and today's @CDCMMWR. They are quite consistent for marked protection of the 3rd shot (booster). My summary table here

For the rapid antigen tests from the federal gov/many retailers: If you have symptoms and test positive, definitely assume you have COVID. But if you do or don't have symptoms and test negative, understand that you could still have and spread COVID. /end

@BrettKelman Especially troubling given that most monoclonal antibody distribution was paused because we thought omicron had completely taken over and now many with delta infections cannot access a treatment that very well could benefit them.
