A festival in celebration of The Fall, future and past. 5th-7th June 2026, Manchester

The volunteers are veterans of @Lthanwordsfest and are led by the praise-averse yet eminently praise-worthy Em Carroll. They calmly and efficiently run the show. Big thanks to all of them.
The reason the festival ran so smoothly is due to the army of volunteers. Amongst their number is a selfie-loving, happi bear called Brian, whose role appears to be performers welfare. May his photos here represent the spirit of the ace team of volunteers.

NAME THAT FALL TUNE. A clip from the Middle Mass-termind quiz. Steve Hanley plays 5 Fall songs on a kazoo. Can you name them? (On the day, the panelists got 3 right, the audience all 5). Frank Skinner is host
A salute to the festival engine room. Fall royalty, Fall publishers and the paramount festival organiser. There was a first class support network too. A fine team effort.
The irrepressible Grant Showbiz with Steve and Gavin from We Are The Fall podcast. So good to have those two over from Chicago for the weekend. Looking forward to their show coming out. If you don't follow them already, find them here: linktr.ee/wearethefallpod
If for any reason you haven't heard Jackie and Si's podcast series, Funky Si's A-Z of Manchester, you're in for a treat. Find it wherever you find your podcasts and on this link: …ky-si-s-a-z-of-manchester.pinecast.co
Hiya Jackie, Hello Simon. So pleased for these two that the walking tour was such an almighty success. They put a lot of unseen hours in prepping for it. And also pleased that Si is looking at doing a walking tour on a regular basis. There's no one better for it.
A word of thanks for Michelle Hickman (8bitnorthxstitch). Not only did she create the festival art exhibition and the fanzine, she also provided invaluable support for the Hey! Luciani production.
Tommy Crooks by his artwork in the exhibition room. Tommy's episode on the @OhBrotherShow dropped the weekend of the festival. He chats with the brothers about his background as an artist and his tumultuous year playing guitar in The Fall. Links here: linktr.ee/Ohbrothershow
Marc Riley reported on the festival on his Radio 6 show last night. Marc’s round up starts at 9:58, then runs into a moving account from Ian Lee. Thanks to Marc for not only this, but his substantial support of the festival overall. A proper gentleman. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0…
Day 2: chairs enter the hall this morning for the first full day of the festival. It all kicks off at 10:30am. Big thanks to everyone for getting us off to a cracking start yesterday, and to all who came for creating such a special atmosphere. Here's to Day 2. Get in early.
Festival Day 1. Doors open at 4:30pm to allow people time to get their wristbands. Tonight is standing only in the main hall. (Saturday and Sunday will be mixed seating and standing.) Wishing safe journeys to all making your way today. Look forward to meeting you all later.
Information on the artwork exhibited at the festival this weekend, plus artist biogs and order links if you'd like to own any of the art on display. route-online.com/blog/post/blog…
Introducing the festival fanzine, Load O Bloody Nowt, edited by Michelle Hickman (8bitnorthxstitch). It'll be for sale on the merch stall over the weekend.
