Madam, With all due respect, even in your remarks here you refrain from denying or condemning what has been attributed to you and published publicly. That speaks for itself. To the best of my knowledge, the statements attributed to you regarding “apartheid” do not reflect the position of the European Union. It’s deeply troubling that, on Italy’s WWII Liberation Day, Jewish participants in Milan were targeted and excluded by violent extremists. Israel strongly condemns these antisemitic attacks. The Jewish Brigade played a vital role in liberating Italy from nazism and fascism. We welcome the political leaders who have spoken out in condemnation of these antisemitic and anti-patriotic incidents. Such a shameful exclusion of the Jewish community must never be allowed to happen again.

The appalling antisemitic hatred on display here is a direct result of @sanchezcastejon government’s systemic incitement. And even now, the Spanish government remains silent. The Spanish chargé d’affaires was summoned for a reprimand.

I have instructed the relevant authorities that Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Latin Patriarch, be granted full and immediate access to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Over the past several days, Iran has repeatedly targeted the holy sites of all three monotheistic religions in Jerusalem with ballistic missiles. In one strike, missile fragments crashed meters from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. To protect worshippers, Israel asked members of all faiths to temporarily abstain from worshipping at the Christian, Muslim and Jewish holy sites in Jerusalem’s Old City. Today, out of special concern for his safety, Cardinal Pizzaballa was asked to refrain from holding mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Even though I understand this concern, as soon as I learned about the incident with Cardinal Pizzaballa, I instructed the authorities to enable the Patriarch to hold services as he wishes.

I just called the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, to express my great sorrow over this morning's unfortunate incident in the Old City of Jerusalem, in which Cardinal Pizzaballa and the Custos of the Holy Land, the Most Reverend Fr. Francesco Ielpo, were prevented from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for prayers amid the ongoing security situation. I clarified that the incident stemmed from security concerns due to the continuous threat of missile attacks from the Iranian terror regime against the civilian population in Israel, following previous incidents in which Iranian missiles fell in the area of the Old City of Jerusalem in recent days. I reaffirmed the State of Israel's unwavering commitment to freedom of religion for all faiths and to upholding the status quo at the holy sites of Jerusalem.

Unfortunately, this is a distorted view of reality. On March 2nd, as on October 8th, 2023, Israelis were attacked unprovoked from Lebanese territory by Hezbollah. These are the same Israelis who for an entire year were forced to leave their homes due to relentless Hezbollah fire, yet the statement ignores their suffering. In the last two weeks, Hezbollah has fired approximately 2,000 missiles, rockets, and drones at Israeli civilians. Would the citizens of the countries that signed this statement agree to live under such terror? If these democracies were attacked in this way, would they accept a distorted symmetry between “all parties” - equating a democratic state defending its citizens with a terror organization that has taken control over a neighbouring state? The statement includes no demand on the Lebanese government to stop the fire on Israel - or even to remove Hezbollah ministers from the government. The Lebanese government failed to disarm Hezbollah, and now it must take steps to immediately stop the firing towards Israel.

Absolute disgrace to hear @JohnHealey_MP say this, and for @DominicWaghorn to let it slide unchallenged. I can only conclude that this government really does hate Israel. This man is the UK's Defence Secretary. He knows full well that last year's Iranian strikes were aimed at civilian targets in Israel. I sat in a bomb shelter day after day, night after night, as Iranian Islamic Republic ballistic missiles rained down on civilian areas of Israel for 12 days. Healey is simply lying here and is totally out of his depth. Waghorn lets him get away with characterising these deliberate. attacks on homes, hospitals and universities as 'military' targets. Utterly shameful and dreadful journalism. Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva. The Weizmann Institute (world-leading, multidisciplinary research institution focused on basic sciences). Spoke with my friend, Azerbaijan's FM @Bayramov_Jeyhun. I condemned Iran’s overt and deliberate aggression against Azerbaijan. This aggression against Azerbaijan and against other countries in the region is completely unacceptable and once again proves that the Iranian regime is insane and unrestrained. Israel is determined to continue the military operation until its objectives are achieved.

Israel's Security Cabinet, led by Prime Minister @netanyahu, made the only correct decision early this morning for the security of Israel and the future of our people. Inaction would have been far more dangerous than the decision to act, despite the significant risks involved. The time to act is now. Delay would have allowed the Iranian regime to reach a level of immunity for its nuclear program, as well as to engage in the mass production of long-range ballistic missiles. Unlike the majority of NGOs that operate in the Gaza Strip, @NRC_Norway refuses to provide basic information aimed at preventing the involvement of terrorists in humanitarian activity. Such requirements have been introduced due to the repeated infiltration of NGOs and international organisations in Gaza by Hamas, including Medicins Sans Frontieres and UNRWA. The only reason for NGOs, including NRC, to avoid transparency regarding their workers in Gaza is if they have something to hide within their ranks. Jan Egeland and the NRC are fully aware of that, but have continuously chosen to prioritise their anti-Israel crusade over terror-free humanitarian activity. Most humanitarian NGOs operating in the Gaza Strip provided the necessary transparency and continue to operate there, with approximately 99% of humanitarian aid unaffected since the introduction of the current measures. Organisations that have nothing to hide may still provide the necessary information and continue their operations.

In an act of moral clarity the German @CDU party conference called today to end funding for UNRWA and seek alternative ways to provide assistance to Gaza, that have not been infiltrated by Hamas terrorists. Likewise, the CDU called to end the "pay-for-slay" payments, the financial incentives for terror against Israelis, and to put an end to the systematic incitement of hatred in Palestinian school textbooks. I commend this act of CDU and call on the German government to implement these steps.

A new degree of detachment from reality in Brussels, talking of “risk the sensitive status quo of religious sites”. In practice, the Palestinian Authority is bulldozing and destroying Jewish sites - as seen, for example, in this video from Joshua's Altar on Mount Ebal - while other Jewish holy sites are attacked and torched by Palestinians (as seen in these photos of Joseph's Tomb).
