Day 3 of the #FoundersNexus was about building institutions that outlive us. As founders, it is so easy to get caught up in the daily grind of running our organizations. But the real challenge is figuring out how to build something that doesn't depend solely on us to survive. Today was a powerful reminder that success isn't just about the impact we make today; it’s about the structures, leadership, and legacy we leave behind for the next generation. After weeks of learning, reflection and practical Financial Literacy sessions delivered through @HopeHubUg by our partners @FINCA_Uganda, caregivers completed the final module and took part in a comprehensive recap, bringing together key lessons on budgeting, savings, goal setting and business management. The journey doesn’t stop here. Account openings are still underway, marking another important step toward greater financial inclusion and preparing caregivers for the upcoming Conditional Cash-Based Intervention. Across continents and cultures, one lesson continues to stand the test of time,relationships are the roots from which lasting change grows. If we want to create a world where young people truly thrive, we have to move forward together. The challenges our youth face are complex, and they require us to step out of our separate corners, align our efforts, and embrace the power of community. While attending the #PerennialGathering, I had the pleasure of catching up with two incredible leaders who are driving real change across the continent: Zack Fowler from @AMPLIFY_Girls and @asha11al from the @ipfug. Meeting with Zack and Aisha was a wonderful opportunity to share our hearts, discuss our visions for youth development, and explore how our unique organisational strengths might complement each other in the future. By leaning into collaboration rather than working in isolation, we can build a much warmer, stronger, and more resilient support system for the next generation.
