Baffling that those who advanced identity politics are shocked that what that has resulted in is a lot more identity politics.
This is a VERY sensible policy from Reform. Massive drop off in business activity for small firms and sole traders at the VAT threshold point so moving it upwards will do more to boost the economy than anything Rachel Reeves has done.
The sad thing is I think she actually believes she's right. This is the classic left-wing view that all money naturally belongs to the government, and that not confiscating it as tax counts as a "subsidy".
