@Sam_Dumitriu There’s a perverse incentive at play in overestimating future electricity demand, as these forecasts are used to justify higher TOTEX for grid networks. It’s ironic that the higher that TOTEX is, the higher the final electricity price and the lower the actual demand growth.

@mario_cibelli Also, at Waymo’s most recent per mile valuation, Uber’s AV business - which is arguably scaling at similar rates via partnership - would be worth ~$85bn. Just a reference point, not apples-to-apples, etc, but what are Waymo investors thinking really?
