A new study found that people living within one mile of a golf course had a 126% higher risk of Parkinson’s disease, with researchers pointing to pesticide and herbicide exposure, including possible contamination through local water systems, as a potential factor.

June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month 3.5 billon people have a brain condition. The statistics are staggering: 43% of all people currently live with a brain condition, including #dementia, stroke, migraine, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and #neuropathy.

At #MemoryAir, we’re continuing our own novel research while also looking closely at the broader body of existing science. Our goal is to better understand the unique role the olfactory system plays across the mind & body.

Why does this matter? Bc olfaction is not just about smell. It is closely tied to memory, cognition, emotion & overall brain health. One possible explanation is that many of these agents support cellular health, repair & growth — mechanisms that also benefit the olfactory system.
