haha fair, and you’re right, the illusion of voice is a real tool of control. But illusions only work temporarily. When enough people realize the gap between “being heard” and real agency, systems lose legitimacy fast. You can fake participation for a while. You can’t fake consent forever. I hear you, and I think this is where we actually align more than it seems. There is real evil, and the current system clearly can’t continue as-is. Where we differ is that I don’t believe systems, AI included, are fixed reflections of the people who build them. Control cycles break, paradigms shift, and power structures change faster than they expect. Love isn’t naïve, it’s persistent. No matter how far we drift, we keep coming back to it. History keeps proving that. I appreciate the common ground we’ve found here.

With the same money already created by labor, just no longer paid as wages. If machines harvest the field, someone still owns the crop. UBI isn’t charity, it’s redistribution to keep the system running. The alternative isn’t “no checks,” it’s collapse, and no monopoly survives that.

And at that point, it’s still the end of slavery. People regain free will. Live a modest life on basic income, or choose to work, to build, create, and pursue what they’re passionate about for more. In both cases, work becomes a choice, not a requirement for survival. That’s the difference.

That only works if you assume total confinement. A minimal income with no freedom would require controlling or imprisoning billions, unsustainable. Baseline income is survival; better lives come from freelancing, building, and working alongside AI. Power without people becomes isolation.

I get the fear behind what you’re saying, but I’m sad you carry that view. I’m not dismissing control dynamics, what you’re describing would require the lifelong confinement or elimination of billions, and that’s neither realistic nor sustainable. Think about it this way: if I gave you all the power and money in the world and left you alone on an island, what would you actually do with it? Power only has meaning in relationship. Power without community becomes loneliness. Love you bro.

@Ryangofett_2490 @neet_sol Slavery is forced labor. As AI replaces white-collar jobs and robots take over physical labor, humans won’t be forced to work just to live. Control through limitation only works under total confinement, and that’s neither logical nor sustainable.
