Almost every founder thinks their problem is generating more pipeline. Look closely and the leak is usually further down, where warm conversations go cold because nobody followed up with anything worth opening. Pouring more in the top of a bucket with a hole in it just wets the floor faster.
Knowing your customer's industry feels like knowing your customer. It is the part that fits in a filter and the part that explains almost nothing about why they buy. What was breaking in their business the week they finally said yes tells you more than their SIC code ever will.
Everyone’s racing to plug AI into their GTM. New tool, new integration, new automation, every week. But almost none of it fixes the thing that actually breaks it. I've spent over a decade watching outbound campaigns fail, and the cause is almost always the same. The people on the list were rarely in a position where the email mattered to them when it landed.
Prompts solved yesterday’s job. Skills solve the same job every day, automatically. Everyone you compete with has the same tools. What you build on top of them is what makes the difference. Make your Skills library bigger, and not your tech stack. The compounding only starts once you write your first one. 10 minutes a week, 3 months from now, your Claude Code project knows your business better than you remember it.

When outbound stops working, the copy gets blamed first because the copy is the easiest thing to change. The list that copy went to usually deserved the blame. Rewriting a great message to the wrong people just gives you a great message that still goes nowhere, slightly faster.
