And SLT can be far more keen to censor content about LGBT issues and #homophobia / #transphobia - v triggering in #pride for someone who grew up in a school environment of shame to be told that you can’t address these topics in assemblies etc…
Excited to be celebrating @JustLikeUsUK #schoolsdiversityweek ! As an lgbtq+ teacher, being able to share (MUCH NEEDED) positive messages about queerness and inclusion is vital. It is however a shame that discussing with students still far more tricky than discussing racism etc
@tes This is an interesting article. I think the ADHD conversation, however, needs more nuance. Many people with all the classic symptoms of ADHD are (unscientifically) dismissed by GPS etc because they don’t fulfil a stereotype. Increased representation has reduced this.

Nerdy SEN interest alert, but I ADORE @CoolerRuler ‘s reading rulers. #Inclusion stationary is rarely as discreet, cleverly designed and practical. So many students avoid visible study aids due to stigma, and this ruler is the perfect way of avoiding this! #Neurodivergent

@tombennett71 Do you have evidence that they only spoke to “people who agree with them”? Surely speaking with students, parents and carers is vital when evaluating school processes, and the sample size wasn’t tiny? It also doesn’t appear that they are making academic claims to universality.

Your attitude is misjudged because X and will not help you in your A levels and beyond.” Good luck, so frustrating!

Surprised at @AQA decision not to include a glossary at all for #languagepaper1 this year, a paper which already could be said to test cultural capital rather than skill. Not ensuring paper is accessible to most disadvantaged. Really hope they reconsider for lang paper 2!
Excited to be doing the @CarnegieMedals shadowing again at my school! Started with @LawrencePatrice ‘Needle’, a phenomenal book that every teacher should read. Charlene’s character was was powerful and loveable, making the story all more heartbreaking and vital. Next up, Medusa!
