@LaggardLabs It’s the chicken or the egg problem. Just because it is , does not mean it will always remain so. Bitcoin is meant to be forked, otherwise miners will take over as stewards of the network
What happens when developing software can occur in parallel to other projects but all synchronized on one chain? Developers can begin to specialize in the domains they know best when writing node software and not be bogged down with things like software forks.
In order to be the real Bitcoin you need to fork and airdrop, nothing else gets the software changed
Adding functionality to sidechains is much easier with BIP 300 on ecash than adding soft forks. If you want to help build , download bitwindow from the layer two labs GitHub and run the test software.

If btc is at 70k and ecash opens at 5k , btc will fall to 65k like in the hash wars. seems like a decent hedge to buy some regardless of the view of Drivechains
