I never said Peter never preached to any Gentiles. Acts 10 is obvious. My point was about the content of what they preached. Read 2 Peter 1:9 again. This was written near the very end of Peter's ministry; shortly before he was martyred. Decades after the cross, AFTER Acts 10, AFTER years of ministry… and Peter is still telling believers they were purged from their "old sins" (past sins only). Compare that to Paul (who wrote Colossians much earlier): "...having forgiven you ALL trespasses." (Colossians 2:13) Again, Peter, even at the close of his life, is still using "old sins" language. That's the distinction I highlighted. Why is Peter still only saying "old sins" that late if everything was identical the whole time? Something to think about.

Your statement is partly right but dangerously off on one major point. Yes, believers are "perfectly righteous for all time" in our standing because we have been made the righteousness of God in him 2 Corinthians 5:21. But the Bible says the opposite of "He doesn't see Christ, He sees you." When God looks at us, He sees us IN Christ. Our life is "hid with Christ in God" (Colossians 3:3). We are "accepted in the beloved" Ephesians 1:6. As you already know we have no righteousness of our own. We stand only because we are IN Christ and have been made the righteousness of God in Him. Removing Christ from the picture by saying "He sees you" is a serious error. Our perfection is not detached from Christ; it is entirely because we are IN Him. This is for edification, not attacking you Evan.

When God looks at us (believers, His children) He doesn’t see Christ He sees US with His righteousness He sees you. Perfectly righteous for all time

Righteousness has always been imputed without works by faith. But in time past, that righteousness had to be maintained by works done by faith (James 2:21-24). In this dispensation of Grace, we are imputed the righteousness of God, and it is maintained by the finished work of Christ alone.

Yes, I believe they were justified before God but the question is how and on what basis. Paul is not inventing a brand new idea in Romans 4 (agreed), but he is explaining something specific: In Romans 4:3 he quotes Genesis 15:6 "Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness." "It" = Abraham's faith. God counted his faith for righteousness, resulting in Abraham's own righteousness that God recognized. The same chapter says God imputes righteousness without works (Romans 4:6). But nowhere does Paul say Abraham or David were imputed the Righteousness of God. That specific truth comes with the clear "But now" marker: "BUT NOW the righteousness of God without the law is manifested…” (Romans 3:21) "That we might be made the righteousness of God in him" (2 Corinthians 5:21) So yes, Old Testament saints were justified by faith. But the Bible calls it their own righteousness by faith.
