A year ago I started looking into ways to log my own bank transactions automatically. I figured "All these banks have apps. And a billion personal finance apps can log transactions. Surely these APIs are publicly available!" Boy was I wrong.

I don't even know what my point is. I'm just mad after my latest brick wall. I don't understand why banks make this so hard. I'm my own data. I should be able to easily access it. I shouldn't have to be a vendor to get my own data.
