@birch_js This is why Flock was born dead. Instead of good intentions to save Flutter, it ended up causing more damage. Managing an open source cross platform framework is not an easy job. Flutter team is not listening to community is very unfair. Please check this out:

We have no active plans to transfer it outside Google, only to expand current governance to ensure non Google maintainers have the ability to drive roadmap for platforms they lead (like Canonical with desktop) I totally hear how the questions could feel concerning, but rest assured it’s not an active thing happening, we just want data in if that direction is correct or if it’s something we should be assessing.

Can you clarify a bit? Flutter has been governed very transparently and openly. The only problem is the expectation of the speed of the change. Today, the Material and Cupertino libraries are separated from the SDK with a very carefully planned migration. The desktop is delegated to Canonical to unblock the development speed. The team has been listening and openly organizing AMA events and answering all questions in conferences and online transparently.

The opposite: Dart is so good because the Dart team is very conservative, especially compared to other languages (ie kotlin). They value performance more than anything else, and they're able to say "no" to many devs requests. Difficult to believe, but that is a good attitude IMHO

@viktorlidholt One thing I've noticed about Dart is that its language features evolve very slowly compared to others like Kotlin, Java, Zig, Swift ect... Most updates are just bug fixes. I hope that changes

@pomis172 Terminating my Claude subscription today. I gave the same prompt to 4.8 and 5.5. Codex wins by far 🚀 Last week, Codex identified the bug in 3 minutes while Claude was investigating in MAX mode for around 10 minutes.
