I can't say if he'll be a good appointment, this isn't like Nuno or Lage or Vitor Pereira, all of whom had some success at Wolves before it inevitably soured. Peixoto has come off a great season, but this is his first great season. He is much less proven, much less experienced.

@KevSmyth78 He had a great season with Gil Vicente, first half of it they were tough to beat, defensively organised but entertaining, made good use of set pieces, well drilled. Fell off in the second half after losing a couple of big players. Record before this year wasn't great though.

@NethertonWolves Bold appointment! Had a really strong season with Gil Vicente, could have been more memorable had they not lost a couple of key players in the winter window. Defensively organised with quite a high line. Tactically was quite rigid but it was working so little reason to change!

Moral of the story - sometimes players don't work out at certain clubs. And that's okay. It doesn't make them a bad footballer, it can be the opposite. Various factors dictate suitability of a player to a club. Vitinha is an extraordinary player. It just didn't work at Wolves.

Benfica will still get to the Europa League, Braga, as long as they don't get screwed by the draw, should get to the Conference League and do very well in it. 5 teams in the league phase - which doesn't happen very often! Torreense is then a free hit.
