It takes a lot more massive public effort to shift the Overton window than you're going to be able to muster now. Take it the other way around: the AR-15 is protected because it's the most common civilian rifle, and only when you've won that do you push the weapon of war argument.

One thing at a time. It's going to be easier to convince courts that the AR-15 is directly protected under Heller because it's the most commonly owned civilian rifle than it is to convince courts that all weapons of war are protected.

You're helping the grabbers, man. The AR-15 is a fine weapon for individual use. Calling it a weapon of war plays right into the grabbers' hands. Expanding ownership of full-auto weapons is a separate argument; I agree it's a vital one to have, but when people are talkign about banning the semiauto version because it's a "weapon of war that does not belong on our streets", agreeing it's a weapon of war is what's counterproductive.

The AR-15 is strictly semiauto. The M-16 is the full-auto version. They are different guns, and dropping auto parts into an AR-15 does not magically turn it into an M-16. I have no information that the US military has used semiauto AR-15s in combat. [citation needed] And when it comes right down to it, any weapon is a weapon of war. The Founders understood that. That's why there is a Second Amendment.

We don't use AR-15s in war. The jury was not all white; it had Latinos and Asians on it, and the black people in the jury pool were disqualified for cause because they said they would not convict a black person, period, no matter what. Anthony started that confrontation. Anthony had a knife where he was not allowed to have one. And Anthony was asked multiple times to leave hte opposing team's tent and refused to do so. He should not have been there in the first place. The mob in Kenosha was violent to start with (unless you call pushing a burning dumpster into a gas station peaceful!). In short, you're letting your racism blind you to the facts.
