Forgot to post about this a bit ago, but here we are. Meet Listening Modes; Cider's new way of mellowing out songs to fit your specific needs and keep airways open for work or gaming. We carve frequencies and occlude certain details in songs to make sure important frequencies can take priority vs what you're listening to.
@oceanhdexe It is already an option.
Cider will support the new RTX Spark based laptops and other Windows on ARM devices on 4.x release, in case you're concerned. We've switched up the package runtimes to make sure MSIX is delivered on Taproom similar to the Microsoft Store which compiles for both x64 and arm64. Back to the list.

Good evening, things are wrapping up over here. Here's whats left: - Fixing the macOS CI, certificates are acting up and not allowing us to sign the DMG. - Linux CI needs updated so it builds properly (probably just attached to a chaining issue to macOS) - Minor performance adjustments and sidebar lyrics updates. - New MSFT Store assets and multi-lang descriptions - Updated Changelog - Server switch from experimental API to new stable API Then we're done, this is all doable within the week so things are looking very good so far. Figured we'd be a bit more open about how things look on our end.
@yeslol1l Yes, the app uses much less resources unless if you're using intensive modes/features.
We weren't kidding by the way, it was really worth the wait.
We usually like to clue folks into our thought process which obviously is a poor idea in hindsight as people don't tend to realize we can't control every single factor that comes into play. While yes, it sucks, it sucks for us too. We'd love to stop getting bug reports for old versions and finally clear up years worth of issues but until we're very confident. Pushing a release out this far has a lot of consequences especially for a team as small as we are.

@JoshKupka We don't like waiting for feedback bursts either, if its bothersome enough to be reported it's something that needs to be fixed or we spend 2 weeks pushing point releases that take time out of our week working on the next release.

We've spent a lot of time fixing bugs based on last minute feedback which sent us way over target for release which while sucks allowed some time for us to finish our definitive lyrics engine! This will now be included as part of the release due to the wait involved.
We've had supporter betas for the better part of a year, this is how we've been deciding when to push our releases based on influx of bugs encountered and the time it takes to fix them. We don't have logging or analytics in retail builds so a 'public beta' would just end up making more confusion for us rather than small group testing where we can talk one on one.

@KrisTheSauceGod Keyword, could. We're just waiting on the primary site and macOS/Linux to be properly setup, there's a lot more to releasing software that meets the eye especially with an app as big as ours.
