@loftwah It is if you're dealing with rebasing and merge conflicts. Or adding and committing files you shouldn't be adding. Or pushing to the wrong branch. Or the right branch but it's outdated and now you're back to potential merge conflict scenarios

@loftwah Well I wouldn't fall into that black and white thinking. I don't think it went from very valuable to not valuable at all; I see software engineering as still valuable and interesting. The tech industry on the other hand ..I feel like that's been a shit show since before AI
@CyrusSMing @loftwah China has it's own problems. Different government, different values. But yes I think we had entire generations told they won't get anywhere unless they go to college and then got a population of overeducated people. It's going to normalize now
@loftwah Not to mention that it's easier than ever to make your own company because of AI. Maybe we'll actually just return to a world filled with smaller companies rather than big corpos owning everything. I'd be down.
@loftwah I guess then the question is: will the new businesses that are enabled by AI (think: autonomous vehicles, AR powered by AI, AI assisted medical devices. etc where AI is in the product) produce enough of these 1-2 person teams that it offsets the loss from existing teams?
